Divas and Daughters

Girls Incorporated of the CSRA will present Divas and Daughters from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at The Old Medical College on Telfair Street. There will be entertainment, refreshments and a fashion show provided by SOHO and Village. Tickets are $40 per mother and daughter, and $5 for an additional daughter. Reservations are due today. Al-Anon speaker

The District 11 Al-Anon Family Groups will observe National Recovery Month with a speaker forum from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the auditorium at University Hospital, 1350 Walton Way. The featured speaker will be from Tignall, Ga. Call 829-9681.

Pet adoptions

The Greyhound Lifesavers Meet and Greet will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at PETsMART, 225 Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway. Retired greyhounds heading for adoption will be at the store. Adoption applications are available. For more information, call 796-1708.

Bridal exhibit

Augusta Mall will hold its annual Bridal Celebration from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be more than 30 exhibitors, including photographers, jewelers, florists, bridal wear shops and caterers. There will be fashion shows at 2 and 4 p.m. The event is free. Call 733-1001.

Artrageous Series

The Morris Museum of Art will hold its Artrageous Children's Performance Series at 2 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 1 10th St. The program will feature classic children's stories with William Wilder. Safe Homes dinner

Safe Homes of Augusta will hold its annual dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday at The Pinnacle Club, 699 Broad St. The guest speaker will be Barbara Dooley, author, talk-show host and the wife of former University of Georgia head football coach Vince Dooley. College Night 2004 will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, 601 Seventh St. There will be information on college opportunities and financial aid seminars. The event is free.

Dining series

The Best Chefs of the South dining series will feature chef Michael Tuohy, of Woodfire Grill in Atlanta, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Partridge Inn, 2110 Walton Way.
