The airline plans to make $5 billion in cuts by 2006 to avoid bankruptcy.

Motorola Inc., down 58 cents at $15.10

The company was cut to "hold" from "buy" by Merrill Lynch due to weakness in the wireless handset market.

JetBlue Airways Inc., up 7 cents at $23.14

The company said third quarter earnings would be lower than expected due to high fuel costs and hurricanes in the key Florida market.

Oracle Corp., down 22 cents at $9.86

The software maker was cut to "market perform" from "outperform" by Piper Jaffray due to lower growth expectations.

Tellabs Inc., up 45 cents at $9.57

The company lowered the price it will pay to acquire AFC Communications Inc. by $400 million.
