Ms. Theresia J. Tucker (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest August 31, 2004, at the Doctors Hospital, Augusta, after an extended battle with diabetes and kidney failure, Theresia Jeanette Woody Tucker, 38, of Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday September 3, 2004, in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown, with the Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Theresia was a loyal employee of the Columbia County Board of Education where she most recently was employed as a Paraprofessional at Grovetown Elementary School. Over the years, she has been given the opportunity to touch the lives of many students in Columbia County. She was also a member of Grovetown United Methodist Church, and leaves behind numerous relatives and dear friends. She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Mechelle Tucker and Lindsey Drew Tucker; her mother Shirley Woody of Phenix City, Alabama; father Jack F. Woody, Beaumont, Cal ifornia; one brother Norman Woody, Huntsville, Alabama; a very special uncle and aunt, Charles and Jean Diamond, Grovetown and her close friend, Judy Lowe, North Augusta. Pallbearers will be Ralph Pearson, Brandon Pearson, Johnny Temples, Mike Williams, Keith Tucker, and Brad Lowe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Theresia's memory to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, Va. 22038-1131.
