Mrs. Laura Mae Kelly (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Laura Mae Dickerson Kelly, 84, entered into rest on August 23, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Historical Springfield Baptist Church, 114 12th Street, with Rev. Glasper Nero, Jr., pastor of the Historical Spirit Creek Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Spirit Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Kelly was a native of Augusta and a member of the Spirit Creek Baptist Church. She was actively involved with the Deaconess Board, Women's Mission and the Senior Choir. She was also affiliated with the Primrose Matrons and the Charity Aid Savings Club. Her memories will be cherished by a devoted and loving husband of 62 years, Mr. Thomas Kelly, Sr.; four children, Angie (Raymond) White, Joyce (Al) Robinson, Jr., Thomas (Linda) Kelly, all of Augusta and Henry (Joanne) Kelly of Atlanta; four sisters, Dorothy Bogan, Nannie Myles, Josephine Pryor and Fannie Wells; three sisters-in-law, Wi llie Maude Dickerson, Julia Mae Kelly and Emma Lou Williams; one brother-in-law, James Williams, all of Augusta; one Godson, Armond Rochard Reese of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Other survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends.
