Mr. Calvin Estese Morris, Sr. (HARLEM, Ga.)

HARLEM, Ga. - Entered into rest August 23, 2004, at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Calvin Estese Morris, Sr., 72, husband of the late Frances Mayo Morris of McArthur Drive, Harlem. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday August 25, 2004, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown, with the Reverend Bobby Renew officiating. Mr. Morris, a native of Columbia County, had retired from Liquid Air and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Calvin "Steve" E. Morris, Jr. and Penney W. Morris, of Appling; two grandchildren, Calvin "Cal" E. Morris III and Anna Morris, of Appling; two step-sons, Michael Ernst, of Collins and Larry Ernst of Pembroke; one brother and sister-in-law, Durelle and Shirley Morris, of Harlem; one sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and George Barton, of Harlem; nieces, Cathy Thurmond, of Appling and Sherrie Newman of Sharpsbur g; nephews, Daniel Morris and Daryl Morris of Appling. Pallbearers will be Bob Bullard, Benji Bennett, Van Bennett, Raymond Fulcher, Alton Walker, and Pearson Hannah. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Kiokee Baptist Church, PO Box 430, Appling, Ga. 30802. The family will receive friends after the service at the residence of Durelle and Shirley Morris, 380 East Trippe Street, Harlem, Ga.
