ATLANTA -- Braves right fielder J.D. Drew cut his head during batting practice Tuesday and was removed from the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game against Colorado.

Drew was taken to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for treatment but was expected to be available as a pinch hitter in the game.

Drew, hitting .303, leads the Braves with 28 home runs and 76 RBIs.

Eli Marrero moved from left field to right field and Charles Thomas started in left field. Andruw Jones moved into Drew's No. 3 spot in the batting order.
