Residents care about downtown

On Aug. 31, Main Street Augusta held a "Clean Up Downtown" campaign designed to clean up the sidewalks, curbs and landscaped areas on Broad Street.

The Board of Main Street wants to thank Pete and Tricia Hughes, Clint Wilson, Larry Jones, George Sharpton and Bob and Kay Webster for their contributions and concern for downtown. The aforementioned residents gave up their Saturday morning to come downtown and dig in on the project.

We also want to thank board members Sherri Chambers, Camille Price and Janie Peel for their efforts on the project we hope to continue throughout the year. Hats off to these folks who care about our Main Street.
