Mr. Arthur Boyd Conners (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- entered into rest on Thursday, August 12, 2004, Mr. Arthur Boyd Conners, 74, husband of Mittie C. Conners. Mr. Conners was the chief chemist at the US Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory at Fort Gordon for 26 years and retired from Nutra Sweet. He was a US Army Veteran, and a member of Good Shepard Episcopal Church. He was a retired member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and retired member and past president of Southern Association for Forensic Scientist. Graveside services will be Monday, August 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Robert D. Fain officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mittie C. Conners of Augusta; daughter, Beth C. Cox of Garden City, S.C.; son, Arthur B. "Buzzy" Conners, Jr. of Augusta; two grandchildren, Jamie and Andy Cox of Garden City, S.C. and brother, Claud C. Conners of North Ridge, Calif. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd., Augus ta, Ga. 30904. Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
