Mr. Archibald Lewis (SANDY SPRINGS, Ga.)



SANDY SPRINGS, Ga.- Archibald H. "Jube" Lewis went home to be with Jesus on August 13, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Miriam N. Lewis; daughter, Nita L. Sparrow; sons, Larry S. Lewis, James A. Lewis, and Victor F. Lewis; son-in- law, Andre Sparrow; daughters-in- law, Glenda Lewis, and Bunnie Lewis; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Born in Dawson, Georgia August 17, 1917, Jube's life story is the American dream. At the age of eighteen he began working and attending Georgia Evening College. He was employed with Georgia Power Company for forty-seven years and retired as an Officer of the company. Mr. Lewis was a World War II Veteran, having served two years in the Army Air Corps and at the end of the war he became an aviation cadet. Bryan Pillsbury and Rev. Todd Tharpe officiating. Interment, Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m., at H.M.
