  • Chris Pierson has been promoted to maintenance supervisor at Brandon Wilde. Mr. Pierson joined the residential community as a maintenance technician in 1997. Brandon Wilde's Beverly Dorn and Heather Hudson have been promoted to share management of the Wellness Department. Ms. Dorn joined the community in 2000 as wellness coordinator. Ms. Hudson joined in 2001 as an exercise instructor and was named physical activities coordinator in 2002.
  • Deidre Mercer Martin has been promoted to associate chancellor for University Advancement at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She was previously assistant chancellor for External Affairs. The 16-year employee will be responsible for the development, alumni relation, continuing education, marketing and Web development activities.
  • Rebecca Lynne Burke has joined Cinergie Marketing Solutions, Inc. as media relations and purchasing coordinator. Ms. Burke was previously employed by television station WJBF as assistant traffic manager. Her responsibilities will include coordinating media relations and purchasing media.
  • Carrie McCullough, the director of marketing and managing editor for Harbor House, has been promoted to associate publisher. The Augusta native is a former newspaper editor.
  • Harbor House has also named Melissa Heyman to assistant editor. The California native previously worked as editor for the Pennsylvania literary magazine, The Echo. She also taught in the Monterrey Peninsula public school system.

  • Gerald (Gerry) McCoy has been assigned to senior resident inspector at Plant Vogtle by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Mr. McCoy was previously senior resident inspector at the Surry nuclear station in Surry, Va.
  • l Trey Quattlebaum has joined MAU Inc. in Augusta as a recruiting researcher for the Professional Services Group, responsible for searching nationwide to identify top level talent through aggressive sourcing. Mr. Quattlebaum earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Augusta State University and has a background in cost accounting.

  • Jim Sigg, the president of Re-Bath of Augusta, was elected as vice president of the Southeastern Re-Bath's Dealer's Association, a trade group for Re-Bath franchisees.
  • Charles F. Bolden Jr. has been appointed to the board of directors of Palmetto GBA.
  • Jim McMurrain was the top volume loan producer in SouthTrust Mortgage for July and has 100 percent year-to-date customer satisfaction report.
  • l Richard Ret and Matt Beard, agents from Blanchard & Calhoun Real Estate Co., recently attended the Howard Brinton Star Power Conference in San Antonio for top agents in the nation. Mr. Ret was also an invited guest speaker at the FNIS Real Estate User Group and Conference in San Francisco, which focused on technological innovations in real estate-related information services.

    l Kevin Rosier, Chris Ready and Richard Seigler of Keystone Homes attended the General Contractor Seminar on Aug. 9-10. Bobby Samples, Darren Gresham, Lee Banks, Rhonda Oellerich, Laura Tilt and Richard Nevils, of Keystone Homes, attended the Managers and Supervisors Conference on Aug. 10.

  • G&P Trucking Co. has been presented four statewide safety awards by the South Carolina Trucking Association, including the first place industrial safety award.
  • John T. Chandler, of the Georgia Bank and Trust Mortgage Department, was top producer in June and July for mortgage loans.
