Mr. Ray Johnson (SANDERSVILLE, Ga.)



SANDERSVILLE, Ga.- Mr. Ray A. Johnson, age 65, of Woodbine Drive, Sandersville, died Thursday, August 12, 2004, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2004, at 2 p.m., at Sisters Baptist Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. William E. Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Turk, Bobby Moore, Tony Anthony, Tim Cato, Bill Rhodes, Harold Channell, and Herman Channell. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Washington Electric Membership Corporation. Mr. Johnson was a native of Washington County the son of the late Louie Johnson and the late Grace Channell Johnson. He was employed by the Washington EMC for 41 years and retired as manager of engineering. Mr. Johnson was a member of Sisters Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Faye Martin Johnson of Sandersville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa J. and Terry Bertoch and a son, Kevin Ray Johnson, all of Sandersville; three gr andchildren, Amanda Bertoch, Alyissa Johnson and Morgan Johnson and a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and J.Q. Ivey of Wrightville. The family will be at the residence, 736 Woodbine Drive, Sandersville and receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., at the May and Smith Sandersville Chapel.
