SALT LAKE CITY -- Josh Smith scored a tournament high 26 points and hit 4-of-6 3-pointers to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 78-74 summer league victory over the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday.
Rick Hughes added 15 and Josh Childress and Donta Smith each had 10 for the Hawks. Royal Ivey collected four steals and three assists.
The Trailblazers went on a 31-20 run helped by a Darius Rice jumper in the lane with 3:28 left in the second quarter. But Hughes converted a three-point play that gave the Hawks a 71-65 lead.
"Coach told us to keep playing hard and go out with a bang," said Smith, who grabbed five rebounds and had one steal and a block.
Woods led Portland with 23 and Rice scored 17.
