Mr. Thomas B. Waters (EVANS, Ga.)



EVANS, Ga.- Mr. Thomas Bobby Waters, 53, entered into rest on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Doctor's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Terrie Dianne Waters of Evans, Ga. Other survivors include his daughters, Melanie Waters of Atlanta and Katie Waters of Evans; brother, Charles Waters of Martinez; sisters, Shirley Myers of Augusta and Wanda Schulken of Hephzibah; eight nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home with Rev. Pierce Norman officiating. Interment will be at 5 p.m., in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mitchell, Ga. Pallbearers will be Tommy Mercer, Charlie Beale, Dr. Mark Boyd, Alex Box, Gene Hair, Gene Strong and Carl Bethune. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Columbia County Recreation Department Advisory Board. Mr. Waters was born in Augusta to the late Bernice and Margie Waters. He was the Chairman of the Columbia County Recreation Department Advisory Board and had coached in public schools in Richmond, Columbia and Jefferson counties and local recreational departments. He was the Assistant Principal of Hephzibah Middle School and an avid golfer. He received his BA at Augusta College, MBA at University of Georgia, and his Specialist Degree in administration at Augusta College, and was recently working on his Doctorate at Georgia Southern University. He was the Campaign Manager for Tommy Mercer and George James and had worked on Linda Schrenko's campaign. He was a loving husband and father who loved his family. Mr. Waters was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church. Memorials maybe made to the American Heart Association, 1105 Fury's Lane Augusta, Ga. 30907 or Mt.
