Mrs. Helen Beason (EDGEFIELD, S.C.)

EDGEFIELD, S.C.- Mrs. Helen Snoddy Beason, 98, of Edgefield, died Tuesday, at the Edgefield Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 11 a.m., at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Mrs. Beason was a native of Spartanburg, S.C., and a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She taught schools in Spartanburg and was a founder and retired co-owner of Beason's Cleaners and Laundry. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Luther K. and Jane Beason, Edgefield; one grandson, Jason Seaman, Atlanta; one great-grandson; one brother, James Snoddy, Charlotte; two sisters, Marian Gittler, San Diego, Calif., and Betty Powell, Atlanta.
