CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The Virginia football team will be without its top returning wide receiver this year, coach Al Groh told The Roanoke Times on Friday.
Ottowa Anderson, whose 33 receptions last season were the most among players eligible to return this year, has unresolved off-the-field issues, Groh told the newspaper.
Anderson, 6-foot-1, started 13 games last season as a junior. The Norfolk native has never taken a redshirt year, so he could theoretically return for the 2005 season.
