The truth finally comes out. Georgia requires all third-graders to pass a standardized test before they can be promoted to the fourth grade.
After the Georgia Board of Education published their impressive 91 percent passing rate for the state's third-graders, it was announced in the June 22 newspaper ("Loophole could promote pupils who failed tests") that these children only needed to score 42.5 percent to pass!
The public school system is a joke, and no amount of money thrown into it will make any difference. It is broken beyond repair. The state board of education is now resorting to trickery to keep parents from knowing the truth.
