Mr. Stanley Sochon (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. Stanley Joseph Sochon, 86, widower of the late Mrs. Jean Bromige Sochon, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, Georgia. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004 at St. Augustine Episcopal Church with The Rev. Joe Bowden officiating. Interment will be private and full military honors will be accorded. Mr. Sochon was a native of New Britain, Connecticut. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He went on to retire from the Army after 22 years of service. Mr. Sochon was also retired as a metallurgist with the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corporation. He attended the St. Augustine Episcopal Church, where he had been a member for over 25 years. Survivors include two sons, Barry V. Sochon of Lilburn, Gordon G. Sochon of London, Ky.; one daughter, Sharron L. Sochon of Princeton, N.J.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchil dren. If so desired, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
