Mr. Elijah Williams (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Elijah Williams, husband of Barbara J. Williams, entered into rest on Saturday morning, May 29, 2004. Mr. Williams had retired from Eisenhower Medical Center as a Power Engineer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Saudi Conflict. He was a member of McElmurray Tabernacle Baptist Church and a Burke County native. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. at McElmurray Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Blueford officiating. He will lie in state at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 32 years; one son, Derwin A. Williams, Sr.; two daughters, Tiffany L. Williams and Erika Lawson; two grandchildren, Derwin Jr. and Antonette Williams; two sisters, Mary Hughes and Eloise Williams; two brothers, Freddie B. Williams and Jackie Williams; one aunt, Hettie Sullivan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs . Arthur Williams of Waynesboro, Ga.
