Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Rybicki (AIKEN, S.C.)



AIKEN, S.C.-Entered into rest on Memorial Day, May 31, 2004, at his residence, after a nine month battle with cancer, Gunnery Sergeant Timothy P. Rybicki, USMC retired, beloved husband of Mrs. Linda R. Rybicki. He was the son of the late Ralph and Marie Scheschi Rybicki. Known to friends and colleagues as "Gunny", he is a twenty-five year intelligence veteran who proudly served around the world in hot spots such as Beirut and Lebanon. Gunny currently served as an intelligence analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Gordon. He exemplified the USMC core values of honor, courage and commitment while serving with high distinction on assignments of grave importance to the United States' national security. He was born in Green Bay, WI and was a fierce and loyal Packer Fan. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Alexandria and Samantha Rybicki; a son, Anthony Rybicki, all of Aiken, S.C.; five sisters and a brother, Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Father John Lawler and Deacon Bob Waters officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Augusta Biomedical Research Corp., for cancer research at the VA Medical Center, P.O. Box 3134, Augusta, Ga. 30914.
