Mrs. Rachel Landrum (THOMSON, Ga.)



THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Rachel Purvis Landrum, age 95, widow of the late Mr. Cleon Farris Landrum, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, in Thomson Manor Nursing Home. Private graveside services were held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Wilfred Bellamy and Rev. John Cook officiating. A native of Warren County, Mrs. Landrum was a daughter of the late Reese Johnson and Mary Lizza Guy Purvis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Thomson Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Watson Landrum and a grandson, Gregory Landrum and is survived by two daughters, Dot Marsh of Thomson and Vera and Billy Rabun of Thomson; son, George and Agnes Landrum Sr. of Norway, S.C.; grandchildren, Rex Marsha, Lisa Usry, George Landrum Jr., and Gwendolyn Faulling; seven great-grandchildren.
