COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Aaron Rawl threw a two-hit complete game and Hank Parks hit a two-run homer as South Carolina beat Tennessee 2-0 Saturday.
Rawl (10-3) allowed a two-out first inning single by Alex Suarez and a leadoff fourth inning single by Eli Iorg. The only Tennessee base runner after that was Josh Alley who walked with one out in the sixth.
Freshman Craig Cobb (3-2) was also effective, striking out seven and allowing six hits in a complete game for Tennessee (34-18, 12-14 Southeastern Conference). Cobb allowed Parks' fifth-inning homer.
Rawl's complete game was the second in two days by the Gamecocks (38-13, 15-11). Matt Campbell pitched a four-hitter Friday as the Gamecocks opened the series with a 2-1 win.
