Mrs. Joyce Agress (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Joyce Lipsitz Agress, 76, of Milledge Road, wife of the late Nathan S. Agress, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Monday, May 17, 2004, at 11 a.m., with Rabbi Sanford Marcus officiating. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Agress Miller and Steve Miller, Santa Maria, Calif., her son and daughter- in-law, Robert Agress and Joyce Agress, Swainsboro and two grandchildren, Emily Agress, Augusta and Adam Agress, Atlanta. Mrs. Agress was a native of Glennville, Ga., and attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. She was the co-owner of Maxwell's Department Store in Swainsboro with her late husband, Nathan Agress for 20 years. The store is now owned by her son, Robert, and has continued in business for over 40 years. Mrs. Agress has resided in Augusta for the past 12 years and was a member of Walton Way Temple. Mrs. Agress wa s a compassionate person and gave generously to many worthwhile charities. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2250 N.
