PASTOR TO LEAVE

THE REV. GLENN ETHRIDGE will be leaving Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans for Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville, Ga., after the North Georgia Conference meeting in June. He will be roasted during a Mexican dinner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley, 825 N. Belair Road.

The congregation will hold a farewell reception after the service at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 23.

YOUTH EFFORT

ABOUT 30 TO 35 YOUTHS from Stevens Creek Community Church will box canned goods at Golden Harvest Food Bank and pick up trash along Riverwalk Augusta and Broad Street today.

Students will collect pledges based on the hours they serve. Proceeds will benefit the youth ministry.

CHINESE SERVICE

THE REV. WONG KOUNG-SI, of Columbia Chinese Christian Church, will speak on the birth of a church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Advent Christian Church, 1815 Central Ave.

The service, sponsored by the Augusta Chinese Christian Fellowship, will be in Mandarin. Children's Sunday school will be in English.

A potluck dinner will be held at 6 tonight.
