STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Josh Morris had three RBIs and hit a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the 11th, and Georgia won its school-record 12th straight game, beating Mississippi State 8-6 on Sunday.
Derek Smith added an RBI sacrifice fly in the 11th for Georgia (33-15, 15-9 Southeastern Conference), which also swept a series at Mississippi State for the first time and set a school record with its 10th straight league win.
Justin Holmes homered and had two RBIs for Georgia.
Steve Gendron went 4-for-6 and Craig Tatum had three RBIs to lead struggling Mississippi State (28-21, 8-16), which is last in the SEC Western Division.
Mitchell Boggs (2-1) worked 2 2-3 innings to get the win. Josh McLaughlin got the save.
Jon Crosby (1-1) took the loss for State.
