Mr. Mark Maroney (BEECH ISLAND, S.C.)



BEECH ISLAND, S.C.- Mark Maroney, my soul mate and partner entered into rest Friday, May 7, 2004, after his long battle with cancer. His survivors are his wife, Janet Smith Maroney of Beech Island; daughter, Jennifer Earnest of Beech Island; brothers, Richard Maroney of Edgefield and Lamar Bartley of New Ellenton; granddaughter, Tori Raymond of Beech Island and nephews, Richie Sharp, Timothy Maroney, Timmy White and Joey Bartley. Mark was a native of Batesburg, S.C., and the son of the late Horace "Hank" and Bertie Maroney. He was a computer programmer and worked his last 12 years at Carlisle Engineered Products, Trenton, S.C. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m., in the First Assembly of God, Aiken, S.C., with Revs. Henry Camley and Rabun Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Shane Friarson, Mike Lamb, Joey Bartley, Keith Bartley, Johnny Maroney, Timmy White, Jimmy Regina and David Burdette. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 115 Greenville Street, SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
