Tigers fall to Central Florida

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Central Florida jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off Clemson for a 3-2 win at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Sunday.

The Golden Knights (37-11) got on board in the first after Steven Jackson hit two batters and walked a third to load the bases. Two Tiger errors in the fourth gave Central Florida a 3-0 lead.

Clemson (30-18) scored a run in the bottom of the fifth when Tony Sipp doubled down the right field line with two outs and he scored on Travis Storrer's single to right center field. The Tigers scored another run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Darren Newlin (3-0) got the win and Jackson (3-3) took the loss.
