Mrs. Mildred Meyer (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mildred DeBow Meyer, 77, wife of the late Eugene Louis (Lou) Meyer went to be with Jesus, Monday, May 3, 2004, after a long illness at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Meyer was born in Augusta, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Forrest (Bobo) DeBow and Annabelle S. DeBow. She worked at the old Sibley Mill for many years and then worked for the Kendall Co. until her retirement. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with Rev. James F. Bland officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bob Dal, Wade Warner, Danny Kitchens, Forrest Woods, Bobby Melton and Lou Carreras. Mrs. Meyer is survived by her sons, Phillip E. and his wife, Ann Meyer of Evans, Kenneth R. and his wife, Murl Meyer of Harlem; daughters, Anna and her husband, Butch Greene of Lexington, S.C. and Kathy and her husband, Dan Stangle of Greenville, S.C.; brothers, Rollis DeBow, Bil ly DeBow and Joe DeBow and one sister, Betty Melton, all of the Augusta area. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Randy and Kelly Stangle.
