KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee linebacker Kevin Burnett and offensive tackle Michael Munoz have been re-elected captains for this season, team officials announced Monday.
They will be joined by receiver Tony Brown and center Jason Respert, both seniors, and cornerback Jason Allen and defensive end Parys Haralson, who are juniors.
Burnett and Munoz were elected captains as juniors last season, and they are the first Volunteers since J.G. Lowe in 1924-25 to be voted captains in consecutive years.
"I'm very proud of our team for the vote of the 2004 captains," coach Phillip Fulmer said. "These six young men represent great character, work ethic and communication skills."
