ATHENS, Ga. - Justin Holmes' two-run double, followed by a two-run single by Josh Morris, keyed a four-run sixth inning that helped carry Georgia to its eighth victory in a row, 7-2 over Kentucky on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (29-15, 11-9 Southeastern Conference) had taken a 2-1 lead in the third inning with the go-ahead run crossing on a single by Marshall Szabo.
The victory went to Bo Lanier (3-1), who pitched a career-long 3w innings after replacing starter Michael Hyle, who left with one out in the fifth when he developed a blister on a finger. Lanier gave up one run on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
