CLEARWATER, S.C.- Entered into rest on Monday, April 26, 2004, Mr. James Floyd Rawl Sr., of Belvedere-Clearwater Road, Clearwater, S.C. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Drafts of West Columbia, S.C.; two sons, James F. Rawl Jr. of Gilbert, S.C., and Carl Adam Rawl Page of North Wilkesboro, N.C.; one brother, Carroll E. Rawl of Lexington, S.C.; dear friend, Helen Gunter of Clearwater, S.C. and six grandchildren, Deanna Drafts, Brandon Drafts, Traci Reddekopp, Chelsea Page, Caroline Page and Allison Page. Mr. Rawl was born in Lexington, S.C., to the late Eddie and Jimmie Wessinger Rawl. He was the owner and operator of Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park and he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Lexington, S.C. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m., in the St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Leon Rawl officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Rawl, Mikell Rawl, Donald Rawl, David Rawl, Gerry Addy and Gerald Addy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Columbia, S.C. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., at Hatcher Funeral Home and on Thursday from 6 to8 p.m., to Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington, S.C. Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy 1, Langley.
