Mr. Walter Turkowsky (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Walter Charles Turkowsky, 83, widower of the late Catherine P. Turkowsky, entered into rest on Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the University Hospital. Funeral services and interment will be held at the George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey at a later date. Mr. Turkowsky was a native of West New York, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Walter Turkowsky and the late Lillian Dellinger Turkowsky. He was educated as a structural engineer and worked on building projects in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C.; and Georgia. The expansion of the University Hospital was one of those projects. Mr. Turkowsky was preceded in death by his sister the late Violet Michel of Arizona. He is survived by two sons, Bill Turkowsky, of Evans, and Walter J. Turkowsky of Winchester, Va.; three grandchildren, Brandon and Evan Turkowsky of Evans, and Amy Turkowsky of Winchester, Va. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in Memory of Mr. Walter C.
