Aon Corp., down 94 cents at $27.82

The company received a subpoena from New York's attorney general for information regarding compensation contracts between insurance brokers and insurance companies.

Schlumberger Ltd., down $2.14 at $61.70

The oil services company reported strong revenue growth but also expressed doubts about drilling in Venezuela due to political problems there as well as contractual concerns.

Scientific-Atlanta Inc., up $2.41 at $35.96

The electronic equipment maker reported that net income per share doubled from a year ago, largely on higher sales of digital video recorders.

Callaway Golf Co. down $1.94 at $18.01

The company reported first quarter profits late Thursday of 64 cents per share excluding one-time items, well below the 70 cents per share expected by analysts.

L.M. Ericsson Telephone Co., down $2.76 at $29.49

The mobile phone maker delivered stronger-than-expected operating earnings in its first quarter but also issued cautious guidance, saying full-year sales growth could be below the 9 percent rate seen in the first quarter.

Microchip Technology Inc., up $4.30 at $32.63

Reported that fourth quarter profits jumped 42 percent and raised its dividend rate by 14 percent.

Ceradyne Inc., up $3.24 at $31.94

The company reported that revenues increased 91 percent in its first quarter compared with the same period a year ago, and said it expects more demand for its lightweight ceramic armor.
