Mr. Jim Salvatore (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on April 13, 2004, Jim "Sal" Salvatore, beloved husband of Barbara Salvatore. Mr. Salvatore was born in Warren, R.I. Retired from the United States Postal Service in Augusta after 25 years of service. He served in United States Army from 1956 to 1960 was employed by the Augusta Police Department from 1960 to 1964 as a motorcycle policeman . He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta Additional survivors include his son, Jimmy Salvatore and his wife Angie, of Hephzibah, Ga.; his daughters, Robyn Hobbs and her husband Ricky and Lisa Thorne both of Augusta and Ashleigh Salvatore of Kernsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Crystal Salvatore, Dustin Salvatore, Chad Shirey, Eugene Thorne, Heather Brown, Rachel Hobbs and Ricky Hobbs, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kolby Hobbs and Karis Brown; brothers, Richard Salvatore of SeeKook, Mass. and Billy Salvatore of East Providence, R.I.; his sister Roby n Kopecky of Warren, R.I. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at 2317 CreekView Dr. Augusta, GA on Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
