Mrs. Edna Ready (LANGLEY, S.C.)



LANGLEY, S.C.- Entered into rest Tuesday, April 13, 2004, Mrs. Edna Drakeford Ready of Langley, S.C., wife of the late Ernest H. Ready and daughter of the late William Henry Drakeford and the late Ethel Ella Day Drakeford. She is survived by three sons, Ernest Wayne Ready of Batesburg, S.C., Harry Eugene Ready of Aiken, S.C. and William Henry "Pete" Ready of Moncks Corner, S.C.; a daughter, Lisa Prince of Langley, S.C.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a very special friend, Shorty Jackson of Gloverville, S.C. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Lowe. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was retired from Graniteville Company with 44 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Hasty officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Langley, S .C. The pallbearers will be Mike Lowe, Charles Barton, Dennis Ford, David Ready, Jimmy Davis, Ted Ready and Bruce Ready. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends at the son, Harry's, residence at 3204 Westmont Drive, Aiken, S.C. or tonight, Thursday, April 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home.
