Richmond County sheriff's deputies are searching for a woman who has gone missing from her mother's west Augusta residence in what police say may be suspicious.
Tamara Dunstan, 29, was last seen at her mother's residence on the 2700 block of Kipling Drive off of Boy Scout Road, said sheriff's Investigator Richard Roundtree.
Deputies received a call to the area at about 5:15 p.m., but Investigator Roundtree would not say what the call was about initially, nor did he release any information about the circumstances of Ms. Dunstan's disappearance nor any evidence found at the scene.
All traffic around the neighborhood is being rerouted by Richmond County Sheriff's Deputies at the entrance of the Briercliff subdivision off of Boy Scout Road.
Aiken County sheriff's bloodhounds were called in by Richmond County to help in the search for Ms. Dunstan.
Ms. Dunstan is described as white, 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighing 120 pounds and has shoulder-length brown hair.
Anyone with information about Ms. Dunstan is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 821-1080.
