Jaguars deal Craft to Saints

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars traded cornerback Jason Craft to the New Orleans Saints on Thursday for a fifth-round pick in the April 24-25 draft.

Craft has played in 70 games in five NFL seasons. He was a restricted free agent in 2002 and the Saints offered him a contract, but the Jaguars matched it.

The Jaguars lost their other starter, Fernando Bryant, to free agency this offseason.

They signed Dewayne Washington and Juran Bolden, who will compete for starting jobs, along with Rashean Mathis, last year's second-round draft pick, who started when Craft was injured at the end of last season.
