Mrs. Grace Coleman (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Betty Grace Roper Coleman, 85, wife of the late Mr. Fred Ludewig and the late Mr. Russell Coleman and daughter of the late Dr. Ralph Wilbur Roper and Mrs. Estelle Sibley Roper. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2004, at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Coleman was a native of Knoxville, Tenn. and had made Augusta her home for most of her life. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Augusta and was a member of the First Christian Church on Greene Street, Augusta. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Geneva Bean and her husband, Edward of Sevierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary R. Mulcay, Moultrie and Edna R. Stone, Evans; two stepchildren and several nieces and nephews. If so desired, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Serving as pallbearers are Bill Agee, Brian Redd, Joe Worsham, Roy Wireman, Ralph Roper and Phillip Roper. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2004, at the funeral home. Florist noon, Friday, April 9, 2004. Platt's Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Avenue, Augusta; 733-3636.
