Mrs. Birdie Clein (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Birdie S. Clein, 94, beloved wife of the late Hyman H. Clein, entered into rest Thursday, April 1, 2004, at her residence. Graveside services were held Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 4 p.m., at Magnolia Cemetery with Rabbi Z. Fischer and Rabbi David Sirull officiating. Survivors include one daughter, Hillarie Clein, Augusta; several beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. A native of Augusta, Mrs. Clein was a life member of Hadassa, Adas Yeshurun Sisterhood , A.M.I.T. and a supporter of Chabad Lubavitch. She was a schoolteacher at William Robinson School She also worked for H. Shmerling Jewelers and Star Luggage Shop, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made in her name to Chabad Lubavitch of Augusta, 239 Broad Street, Augusta, GA 30901. Pallbearers for the service were Lou Saul, Jay Sawilowsky, Dr. Albert Rabin, Alan Daitch, Joe Diatch and Ron Blum. Family will be sitting the traditional time of mourning at the residence.
