NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- Mrs. Katie Mae Clark, 87, formerly of Beverly Circle, entered into rest on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Funeral services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, North Augusta, today, Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Haywood Horton and the Rev. Jimmy Summer officiating. Burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Survivors include one son, Joe Henry Brooks, Washington, Ga.; three daughters, Virginia Dwyer, Boston, Mass., Betty Campbell, Harlem and Barbara Mimbs, Adraine, Ga.; one brother, Saul Usry, North Augusta; two sisters, Rachel Woodrow and Elizabeth Patterson, Cherokee, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, Joe Brooks, James "Eston" Thigpen, Martha Thomas, J.L. Phillips, Nancy Payne, Laura Boatwright, John Dwyer, Michael J. Dwyer, Gordon Dwyer, Mitchell Dwyer, Elizabeth Janie Dwyer and Mary Spano; 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by one son, Horace Brooks; two grandsons, Richard Phillips and Bobby Dwyer and one granddaughter, Debbie Dwyer. Pallbearers for the service will be Don McDowell, Herbert Burns, James Thigpen, George Wood, Bobby Miller and Roger Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Mimbs, Jonathan Thigpen, J.L. Phillips, David Kitchens, Robert Kitchens, Robby Payne and Joe Brooks. A native of Glascock County, Mrs. Clark was a long time resident of North Augusta before making Dublin her home one year ago.
