Mr. Robert Stewart (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Stewart, 70, of Clark Street, Augusta, who died March 26, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father C. Alexander McDonald celebrant. Final Prayers and Commendation in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Stewart was a native of Lynchburg, Va., having made the Augusta area his home for the past 41 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peach Catholic Church. A former basketball coach at Aquinas High School. Mr. Stewart had been a sports writer for the Augusta Chronicle. He was formerly employed by Belk-Howard in advertising and was the former owner of Stewart Marketing. Survivors include a son, Robert A. "Bobby" Stewart Jr., Belvedere; three daughters, Teresa Hanks, Beech Island, Jill Elizabeth Gustafson, Charleston, S.C., and Leslie Holcomb, Belvedere; a brother, Jim Stewart, Lynchburg, Va.; nine grandchildr en, John Gustafson, Nolan Gustafson, James Barrett, Chelsea Hughes, Spencer Hanks, Ashley Watson, Kyle Brigham, Brook Holcomb and Jessie Holcomb; his former wife, G. Jean Stewart, North Augusta. A Vigil Service for the deceased will be conducted Monday evening at 6:30 at the funeral home followed by visitation until 9. Stephen D.
