APPLING, Ga.- Rev. Samuel D'Wayne Bussey entered into rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 29, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at Gilbert Lambuth Chapel, Paine College, with Rev. Alexander Ingram officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Appling. Rev. Bussey, a native of Augusta, was a licensed and ordained minister who was associate pastor of Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Appling. He attended American Bible College and received his certificate of ministry from Morehouse College. He served in a successful ministry at the Youth Development Center. Survivors are his wife, Charon Bussey; two sons, Samuel Devon Bussey, Augusta, Samtavius Bussey, Appling; father and mother, Roscoe and Willie Bell Bussey, Martinez; two sisters, Gloria (Jerry) McCord, Martinez, Jacqueline (Lester) Parks, Evans; two brothers, Victor (Kamala) Bussey, Augusta, Roscoe (Yontrea) Bussey, Appling; grandfather, Uly sses Johnson, Martinez; father-in-law, James Marshall, Augusta; goddaughter, Chaniyah Lord, Augusta and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
