Mr. Ernest Mason (NEW ORLEANS, La.)



NEW ORLEANS, La.- Ernest Leon Mason, a taxi driver, died March 10, 2004, at his home in New Orleans. He was 55. Mr. Mason was born in Newport News Va. and lived in New Orleans for the past 20 years. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, McComb, Miss., Prince Hall Mason Corinthian Lodge No. 228, Eureka Consistory No. 7 and Platta No. 15. Survivors include two daughters, Tonia D. Mason of Acworth, Ga. and Nicole R. Mason of Lithonia, Ga.; the mother of his daughters, Ernestine L. Mason of Augusta; one son, Marcus L. Moore of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Queen M. (Herman) Jackson of Winchester, Va. and Tammy M. Fleetwood, Murfreesboro, N.C.; two aunts, Alean B. Jacobs of Seaboard, N.C. and Christine B. Clark of Murfreesboro, N.C.; one niece, Tyiesha Amos, Murfreesboro, N.C. and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral was held Friday, March 19, 2004, at 11 a.m., at Tilly's Funeral Home, 2831 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, La. Buria l was in Resthaven Memorial Park, New Orleans.
