Mrs. Collie Lund (AIKEN, S.C.)



AIKEN, S.C.- Mrs. Collie Lund, 78, of Lundee Drive, beloved wife of Willard Lund, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m., at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Revs Dr. Melvin Howell and Dr. Eddie Leopard officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. A native of Pawnee, Okla., Mrs. Lund was a daughter of the late Hugh and Phyllis Richmond Howard. She served in the Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. She was a retired registered nurse, and had lived in Aiken since 1995. Mrs. Lund was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and volunteered with the Child Evangelism Fellowship. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Melinda Stutz, Carlsbad, Calif., Nancy Wagener, Pilot Hill, Calif., and Stella Miller, Warrenville, S.C., two sons, John Lund, Auburn, Calif., and The Rev. Dr. Melvin Howell, Fullerton, Calif., a sister, Helen Holcomb, Boonesville, Ariz.., a brother, Ed Howard, Magazine, Ariz., and 15 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 1034 Briargate Cir., Suite, 100, Columbia, SC 29210. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
