Houston returns after four-game absence

NEW YORK -- Allan Houston started at shooting guard Friday night after missing the New York Knicks' previous four games.

Houston, who was sidelined by a left quadriceps contusion, hadn't played since March 16 against Washington.

Coach Lenny Wilkens said before the game that Houston would be a game-time decision, and he was prepared to play little-used DeMarr Johnson as the Knicks' starting shooting guard against Toronto.

Tim Thomas was in uniform but did not start. He has been sidelined by a groin injury.
