Rent or Buy: New movies out in DVD include 21 Grams, starring Sean Penn as a high school teacher whose life collides with an ex-drug addict and a born-again Christian; and Veronica Guerin, starring Cate Blanchett as the late Irish reporter. See Applause section for more on new DVDs.

Music releases include rapper Cassidy with his debut, Split Personality.


Go Irish: The annual St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 2 p.m. at Eighth and Telfair streets before winding down Broad Street. Marching bands include units from Westside, Josey and the Academy of Richmond County high schools. A block party, $5 admission, takes place at the Eight Street Plaza.


Angelina Jolie stars as an FBI agent in search of a serial killer who assumes the lives of his victims in Taking Lives. Ethan Hawke also stars.

Find food and fun at the Triple Crown Street Fair from 6-11 p.m. at the Newberry Street Festival Center in Aiken. Admission is free for music, hot dog eating contests and much more.


Hear acoustic rock band Native Prophets in concert at 8 p.m. at the Alleluia Community Center gym, 2110 Richards Road, Peach Orchard Road at Lumpkin Roads. Admission is $3.

Teens in Action with Goals presents the T.A.G. Step Show at 7 p.m. at the Henry Brigham Community Center Gymnasium, 2456 Golden Camp Road. Tickets are $7 at the door or $5 with a discount card. Call 796-6819 for more information.
