Mrs. Loraine Schoenfelder (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)



NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.- The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Florida Loraine Griffin Schoenfelder, 70, of Arch Dr., North Augusta, who died March 14, 2004, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. from the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father C. Alexander McDonald celebrant. Final Prayers and Commendations in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Schoenfelder was a native of Appling Co., Ga., having made the North Augusta-Aiken area her home for the past 53 years. She was a Communicant of the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church where she served as a church organist and a choir member. Mrs. Schoenfelder was an independent Fashion Coordinator for Weekenders Clothing and received a national achievement award for sales. She was a member of the North Augusta Chapter of the American Business Women's Association where she had served as the former Secretary and President. A licensed Amateur Radio operator, she was a member of the Americ an Radio Relay League and the North Augusta-Belvedere Radio Club. She was a member of the Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 172 Aeropauses, served as Cub Scout Den Mother and was an active participant of the Aiken County Meals on Wheels. Survivors include her sweetheart and loving husband, A.W. "Dick" Schoenfelder, a son, Thomas E. "Eddie" Johnson, Beech Island, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ina Faye and John Biedler, Landrum, S.C., and Linda Gail and Gary Brown, Lincolnton, Ga., a step son, Fred W. Schoenfelder, Martinez, three step-daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Teddy Todd and Judy and John Berry, all of North Augusta and Christine and Bobby Jernigan, Martinez, 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Laverne Lewis, Baxley, Ga., three brothers, Sylvester Griffin and Danny Griffin, both of Baxley, Ga., James Griffin, Lake Okeene, Ga. A Vigil Service for the Deceased will be conducted Tuesday evening at 6:30 followed by visitati on until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund, 856 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, S.C. 29861-6605 or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
