South Carolina dominates Delaware St. in baseball



COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Matt Campbell struck out 11 to lead South Carolina to a 16-3 win against Delaware State on Sunday.

The Gamecocks (17-0) got home runs from Hank Parks and Bryan Triplett as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third and never were threatened. Campbell (4-0) gave up just one hit in seven innings for the win.

Delaware State (6-11) got two RBIs from Brandon Tanner and did all of its scoring in the last two innings. Starter Eric Carter (1-2) gave up seven runs in 5 1/3 innings to pick up the loss.
