DOHA, Qatar -- Sweden's Joakim Haeggman shot a 7-under-par 65 Sunday for a one-shot victory over Japan's Nobuhito Sato at the Qatar Masters.
Haeggman finished at 16-under 272 at the Doha Golf Club for his third win on the European Tour. Sato closed with a 4-under 68 for a 15-under 273 total.
The first Swede to play in the Ryder Cup in 1993, Haeggman missed seven months last year because of a hockey injury.
"Many more tournaments are coming up and winning here, under pressure, has given me a lot of confidence," Haeggman said. "I can cope with the pressure and play at the highest level."
France's Raphael Jacquelin, England's Brian Davis and Spain's Jose Manual Lara tied for third at 14-under 274.
Wales' Ian Woosnam finished in a tie for 18th after a fourth-round 70.
