CLEMSON, S.C. -- Auburn used a five-run fourth inning on the way to a 9-6 victory over Clemson on Sunday.
The Tigers (16-2) overcame a 2-0 deficit in the third on RBIs by Ben Sprague and Tug Hulett, then put the game out of reach an inning later. Sprague and Clete Thomas had run-scoring doubles and Josh Bell added an RBI in the big inbning.
Bell (1-0) gave up a pair of unearned runs in three innings to get the victory.
Clemson starter Tony Sipp (0-1) allowed six runs to take the loss.
The Tigers, who lost two out of three to Auburn, fell to 6-7 with the loss.
