WADLEY, Ga.- Mr. Plezen W. Whigham, Jr., of Wadley, Georgia entered into rest Friday, February 27, 2004 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.C. Phinizy officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Wadley, Georgia. He was a native of Jefferson County where he attended elementary and high school. He joined Trinity C.M.E. Church at a very early age. Survivors include six sisters, Ola Mae Curtis, Exzeamma L. Johnson, both of Augusta, Mattie Lee Jackson, Savannah, Georgia, Beatrice K. Shariff, Atlanta, Gladys W. Hobbs, Wrens, Georgia, and Annette C. Wright, Conyers, Georgia; two brothers, Raybun M. Whigham, Augusta and Hubert H. Whigham, Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Blanche Whigham and Marion Whigham; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Gardner J. Hobbs, Wrens, Georgia and Jimmy Wright, Conyers, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
